Los altares de la Virgen de Guadalupe en Yucatán se pueden encontrar en muchísimos lugares. Están en las casas, en los talleres mecánicos, en los mercados, en las colonias, en las carreteras, y es que se pueden ver por todas partes. Los altares de la Virgen de Guadalupe son como "pequeñas iglesias", donde las madres piden por el bienestar de sus hijos, los vivos le rezan y le dan ofrendas a sus muertos. Son también espacios llenos de una gran energía, donde la gente se entrega emocionalmente hacia Dios. Es ahí donde de rodillas se pide, se ofrece y agradece, se llora y se suplica, y es ahí en donde se engrandece el ser humano y se encuentra consigo mismo.

Los altares son parte de la cultura popular y la tradición católica religiosa en México.  Este es un archivo visual que nos enseña las contumbres y formas de ser de la gente de Yucatàn. Aqui se refleja su gran "Devocion" y fe relegiosa.

In the people houses, in the working areas, in the streets and public markets, they seems to be  everywhere you go. The altars of Guadalupe are like a "little churches" for the people, they are strong places full of great energy, where the mothers prays for the well-being of theirs soons, they are also places where to cry, to offer, to forgive and to feel grateful  to be alive.

The Guadalupe's altars are part of a popular culture and religious catholic tradition in México. This Photo collection is a visual file, a registry that show us about manners and a way of life for the people from Yucatán.
